Last week, Ometis hosted a webinar that looked into the pros and cons of using the Qlik Sense Layout Container. The Layout Container first appeared in Qlik Sense SaaS in November 2023 and was released in the February 2024 Client Managed version.
During the webinar Tom Mitchell, one of our Qlik Consultants, took us through some visualisation best practice including:
- Sticking to seven, plus or minus two, objects on the dashboard
- Ensuring grid and text alignment
- Avoidance of chart junk
- Not being afraid to use "white space"
- Consistency of colour usage
Tom then took us through some of the advantages and disadvantages of using the Qlik Sense Layout Container when following best practice.
