Qlik Recognised In Gartner Magic Quadrant Report 2018

Share:

The Magic Quadrant focuses on products that meet the criteria of a modern analytics and BI platform and each year Qlik is recognised among the leaders in the field. The 2018 report represents the eighth year in a row that Qlik has been recognised as a leading piece of BI software.

In the report, Gartner referenced many strengths to Qlik and their suite of tools that help disseminate and distribute business data. These include but are not limited to the following:

Qlik is a scalable product for robust applications
Gartner referenced Qlik’s ability to support multiple data sources, complex data models and complex calculations. That’s because Qlik’s scripting engine also supports complex data transformations from multiple data sources in support of the agile, centralised BI provisioning for interactive dashboards that many consume. Qlik has continued to invest in point-and-click capabilities but this scripting engine means developers are not limited to menu-driven options.

Qlik’s Product vision
Qlik was praised for their ability to understand what add-ons users of the system may require and their approach to providing these tools. For example, Qlik’s marketplace allows partners to develop content to further extend the platform, among other positives. Success in the marketplace has been behind some of Qlik’s acquisitions, which include NPrinting and Idevio – both important tools utilised by clients to increase efficiency and empower their business decisions. On top of this, Qlik has continued to execute its augmented analytics roadmap, the ability to analyse at-rest data and streaming analytics, multcloud, big data and its crowdsourced recommendation engine.

Qlik Partner Network
An estimated 70 per cent of Qlik business is partner-led. This has been recognised as a beneficial way of rolling out Qlik platforms, as partners tend to have long-term relationships with customers and therefore understand their specific requirements. Through this bespoke level of service, Qlik partners such as Ometis can advise on and contribute to the implementation of product extensions as well as prebuilt content and training. It’s why Qlik reference customers scored the availability of skilled resources in the market as above average.

It always fills us with pride to see Qlik generate such positive feedback. The fact that the Gartner Magic Quadrant Report has recognised Qlik for the eighth consecutive year goes to show how Qlik continues to improve year-on-year to stay ahead of the game in this increasingly competitive market.
