Data-driven alerts in Qlik Sense with Qlik Alerting

Share:

Qlik Alerting is a platform that increases the value of your analytics in Qlik Sense by allowing you to proactively manage and monitor your business with the help of data-driven alerts. The software supports both pull and push alerting, allowing users to self-serve and organisations to broadcast insights to large groups of users.

Qlik Alerting notifies users and managers when potential issues arise, allowing them to manage by exception. By doing so they promote user engagement with the data, providing direct links within the alerts to analyse further, including context awareness taking users directly to the right analytics with selections applied. This increases adoption and action based on insight.

These alerts offer more than simple KPI thresholds. Through its advanced statistical calculation and trending, Qlik Alerting can easily identify outliers and anomalies, comparisons and complex nested alert logic, as well as being able to drill into and evaluate individual dimension values.

Not only does Qlik Alerting offer self-service capabilities for users to create their own alerts on the data they have access to in Qlik Sense, it also enables users (usually power users) to create and manage alerts for others. A robust centralised application allows administrators to define and manage sophisticated alerts for wide distribution, while users can easily set up data-driven alerts themselves thanks to a simple Qlik Sense interface. Insights can be flexibly delivered either through Qlik’s mobile app, which is available for Android and iOS, or via customised emails.
